The MyAERO Borneo Talent programme held on 23 October 2025 at ICATS, Kuching, Sarawak marked the final stop of the MyAERO Talent (Aerospace TVET Tour) 2025. Organised by NAICO Malaysia in partnership with Kelab Rakan Udara Malaysia (KRUM) and powered by the Department of Skills Development (JPK), the event gathered students and educators from Sarawak and Sabah to explore opportunities in Malaysia’s growing aerospace industry.
As the concluding event of the 2025 tour, MyAERO Borneo Talent celebrated the nationwide effort to inspire Malaysian youth toward aerospace-related skills and careers, supporting Malaysia’s vision to build a highly skilled and future-ready aerospace workforce.
Held from 8 to 10 October 2025 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), the Selangor Aerospace Summit (SAS 2025) served as one of Southeast Asia’s premier aerospace platforms, bringing together key players from across the aviation and aerospace ecosystem. The event showcased the latest advancements in aerospace manufacturing, MRO, drones, business aviation and space technologies, strengthening Malaysia’s position as a regional hub for aerospace innovation and growth.
As the Platinum Sponsor, NAICO Malaysia demonstrated its leadership in advancing Malaysia’s aerospace industry through strategic partnerships, talent development initiatives and technology-driven transformation. The summit, organised under the Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS), featured exhibitions, conferences, business matching sessions and a career fair, with a strong focus on sustainability, digitalisation and talent cultivation.

Held from 30 September to 2 October 2025 at the Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur, DronTech Asia 2025 positioned Malaysia at the forefront of drone and advanced air mobility (AAM) innovation in Southeast Asia. The event gathered government leaders, industry experts and innovators from across the region to explore opportunities in the emerging low-altitude economy.
Featuring over 75 companies from 10 countries, the exhibition showcased cutting-edge drone technologies, AI-driven systems and next-generation unmanned solutions. The conference also hosted leading speakers discussing applications across agriculture, logistics, security and urban mobility.
NAICO Malaysia was highlighted for its efforts in developing the MyAERO Centre of Excellence and advancing national initiatives such as the Malaysia Drone Technology Action Plan 2030 and Aerospace Industry Blueprint 2030, reinforcing Malaysia’s position as a regional hub for drone innovation and industrial growth.
MRO Asia-Pacific 2025
Held from 16–18 September 2025 at Singapore Expo, MRO Asia-Pacific marked its 25th anniversary as the region’s leading aviation aftermarket event. NAICO Malaysia participated to promote Malaysia’s growing MRO capabilities and investment opportunities within the aerospace ecosystem. The event fostered global connections and highlighted Malaysia’s advancements in digital innovation, sustainability and skilled talent development. Through strategic engagement, NAICO reaffirmed Malaysia’s position as a trusted partner in the Asia-Pacific aerospace supply chain.
The MyAERO Northern Talent programme held on 26 August 2025 at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Sintok, Kedah was part of the nationwide MyAERO Talent (Aerospace TVET Tour) initiative. Organised by NAICO Malaysia in partnership with Kelab Rakan Udara Malaysia (KRUM), the event brought together students and educators from the northern region, including Perlis, Kedah, Penang and Perak, to explore opportunities in Malaysia’s thriving aerospace sector.
Participants joined a Composite Material Building Workshop conducted by Boeing Composite Malaysia (BCM), gaining hands-on experience in advanced composite technologies and learning key processes and skills used in aircraft manufacturing.
In addition, students were given the opportunity to visit Boeing Composite Malaysia’s facility, where they witnessed first-hand the operations behind one of Malaysia’s key aerospace manufacturing hubs. During the visit, students explored various stages of composite part fabrication and assembly, while learning about BCM’s commitment to quality, safety and sustainability. The visit also highlighted BCM’s collaboration with NAICO Malaysia in nurturing a skilled local workforce through TVET-driven initiatives that support the goals outlined in Malaysia’s Aerospace Industry Blueprint 2030.
Through these immersive learning experiences, MyAERO Northern Talent continues to inspire young Malaysians to pursue STEM and TVET pathways, empowering the next generation to drive Malaysia’s aerospace growth and innovation
The MyAERO Sustainable Aviation APAC Symposium 2025, held under the MyAERO 2025 initiative, successfully convened key stakeholders from across the Asia-Pacific region to explore actionable pathways for a greener, more resilient aviation industry. The symposium was hosted by the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), organised by NAICO Malaysia, and held in collaboration with Boeing, with co-organisation support from NESTE, the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), and the Malaysian Bioeconomy Development Corporation (MBIC).
The event featured keynote sessions, panel discussions, and exhibitions from key industry players, government representatives, research institutions, and academia. Topics addressed included green aviation technologies, regional sustainability frameworks, workforce readiness, and the development of an integrated aerospace ecosystem in Malaysia and beyond.
The symposium reinforced Malaysia’s commitment to shaping a resilient and sustainable aerospace future in collaboration with regional and global partners.

The MyAERO East Coast Talent programme held on 26 July 2025 at DRB-HICOM Kuantan Pahang was part of the nationwide MyAERO Talent (Aerospace TVET Tour) initiative. Organised by NAICO Malaysia in partnership with Kelab Rakan Udara Malaysia (KRUM), the event brought together students and educators from the East Coast region covering Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan to explore opportunities in Malaysia’s dynamic aerospace sector.
Participants took part in engaging hands-on workshops including the Composite Material Building Workshop conducted by IKBN Pekan and the e-Drone Race facilitated by KRUM. These activities provided practical exposure to aerospace technology and innovation while promoting interest in STEM and TVET education.
The programme serves as a platform to inspire young Malaysians to develop skills and aspirations aligned with the nation’s aerospace growth and future workforce needs.
As part of our ongoing efforts to position Malaysia as a competitive aerospace hub in the Asia-Pacific region, NAICO Malaysia participated in the Shanghai International Aerospace Technology and Equipment Exhibition.
This engagement served as a strategic platform to strengthen international collaboration, explore advanced aerospace technologies, and promote Malaysia’s capabilities in sustainable aviation.
The exhibition also provided valuable insights and networking opportunities with global industry leaders, further supporting the objectives of the MyAERO 2025 initiative.
AERODEX'25 successfully demonstrated the potential of Malaysia’s aerospace sector by highlighting the critical role of education, innovation and cross sector collaboration. The event showcased student led UAV design and testing, industry aligned competitions and insightful discussions with key stakeholders, emphasising the importance of aligning academic efforts.
A key highlight was the involvement of the RImAU 2 UAV, a student-led project that exemplifies the spirit of innovation and technical excellence fostered at UTM. The project demonstrated the capabilities of future engineers in designing and testing a fully functional UAV, reinforcing the importance of experiential learning in aerospace education.
It also underlined the need for greater integration between academia, industry and government to foster future ready talent, support R&D and accelerate technological advancement.
AERODEX’24 organised under the SEMT4523 - Aircraft Design II course in collaboration with UTM Aero Club, serves multiple objectives aimed at enriching students' understanding of aerospace engineering. It immerses students in the complexities of aerodynamics, performance, stability, and control through the design and flight testing of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The event also aims to expose individuals to the aeronautics industry in Malaysia and foster collaboration with external companies. Additionally, the UAV evaluations from industry experts provide valuable feedback for students to improve their designs. A hand-launched glider competition for 3rd-year students further enhances practical learning.
NAICO Malaysia's participation in DSA & NATSEC Asia 2024 primarily aims to promote the Malaysian aerospace industry on a global stage. This prestigious event provides a unique opportunity for NAICO Malaysia to showcase the country's aerospace capabilities, technology advancements, and strategic initiatives to an international audience, including industry leaders, potential investors, and global partners.

This annual carnival serves as a dynamic platform for students, industry professionals, and enthusiasts to explore career opportunities, industry advancements, and technological innovations in the aerospace sector.
AERO Carnival'24 reinforced Malaysia’s commitment to nurturing future talents in the aviation and aerospace industries, fostering collaboration between academia and industry to drive innovation and excellence.
The MyAERO Sustainable Aviation Symposium (MSAS) is a premier event dedicated to advancing sustainability in the aviation industry, with a special focus on Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and its role in reducing carbon emissions. Organized by NAICO Malaysia and NextGen Consulting, the symposium serves as a platform for industry leaders, policymakers, researchers, and businesses to discuss the latest developments, challenges, and opportunities in green aviation technologies. The event aims to raise awareness about sustainable aviation solutions, facilitate collaboration between key industry players, highlight the potential of SAF in Malaysia and the region, and drive innovation and policy discussions to support aviation sustainability. The MyAERO Summit 2024 marked a significant milestone in Malaysia’s aerospace industry, bringing together key stakeholders from government, industry, and academia to explore future opportunities and challenges with the theme "Fuelling Innovation, Igniting Connections: Malaysia Takes Flight," the summit reflected the dynamic ambitions of the aerospace sector as Malaysia prepares for its next phase of industrial growth. In addition to key discussions on aerospace design, supply chain excellence, and sustainability, the event featured an Exhibition & Career Fair, offering participants insights into the latest innovations, career opportunities, and industry trends. Johor Aviation Tour
The Johor Aviation Tour is an initiative by Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Johor and Kelab Rakan Udara Malaysia (KRUM) to inspire and empower the next generation of aerospace talent. As a continuation of the MyAERO Johor Talent, held on 25th-26th September 2024 at SMK Kota Masai 2, Pasir Gudang, this program culminates in the Aerospace Empowerment Program & MyAERO Challenge Award at Senai International Airport, Johor, on 27th November 2024.
The event highlights the achievements of students who participated in the MyAERO Workshop Challenge, showcasing their aerospace skills and knowledge. The tour will provide students with an exclusive experience at Senai International Airport, offering valuable insights into the aviation industry. The program will conclude with an award ceremony, recognizing the outstanding talents and efforts of the participants.
This initiative aims to inspire young minds, foster innovation, and strengthen Malaysia’s aerospace future. The presence of industry professionals will further enrich the experience, motivating students to pursue careers in aerospace.
